What is GirlsReview.nl?

GirlsReview.nl is a forum where clients of sex workers can share their experiences and post reviews. The forum allows clients to share their experiences with others and helps visitors form an impression of a sex worker.

At the same time, GirlsReview.nl considers the safety and privacy of sex workers important. For this reason, rules apply to the information users may post about sex workers. It is not permitted to include a sex worker’s private information in a review or forum post.

How is a review posted?

A review can only be posted for a sex worker who has an advertisement profile on which, among other details, the telephone number has been verified.

When a client wants to write a review, they are asked to enter the URL of the relevant sex worker’s advertisement profile. Based on the telephone number registered to that profile, the sex worker will then receive an SMS message asking for permission to publish the review.

The sex worker can read the full review before giving permission. This ensures that the sex worker knows what will be published about them.

Can I withdraw my consent or have a review removed?

Yes. A sex worker can submit a removal request for an existing review at any time. A reason may be provided with the request, but this is not required.

A removal request can be submitted using the “Request removal” button displayed next to the relevant review.

After a removal request has been submitted, a GirlsReview.nl moderator will assess the review and remove it within one week.

This means that a sex worker is not required to keep a publication about themselves on the forum if they no longer wish to give permission for it.

What if a review contains incorrect information?

A review containing factually incorrect information is different from a client sharing a negative experience. The fact that a review is negative does not automatically mean that it must be removed. As with other service providers, both positive and negative experiences may be shared.

However, if a review contains demonstrably incorrect information, the sex worker can submit a removal request.

It is important that GirlsReview.nl continues to provide space for clients to share honest experiences. If a review concerns a genuinely experienced problem, such as fraud or an unsafe situation, a removal request may therefore be assessed differently.

In short, a distinction must be made between:

• a negative experience reported by a client;
• factually incorrect information;
• information about a genuinely experienced problem, such as fraud or an unsafe situation.

Negative reviews are part of providing a service

Providing a service means that clients may have different experiences. Both positive and negative reviews can therefore be a normal part of running a business.

A negative review will not automatically be removed. At the same time, demonstrably incorrect information is, of course, different from a genuine negative experience.

The aim is to maintain a balance between allowing honest client experiences to be shared and protecting the privacy, safety and position of sex workers.

The forum can also provide opportunities

GirlsReview.nl does not necessarily have to be viewed as something negative. The forum can also help sex workers increase their visibility and reach new clients.
