I know a lot of guys from out of Amsterdam prefer the suburbs (Slotervaart, Noord), easy to reach without going into the city, while i much prefer the centre (Dam, Leidseplein etc).

Yes I mean the distance from me.
It's near the airport, I don't have a car, I do everything by bike, occasionally transport but mostly if it's too far / annoying to go, I don't.

I'm assuming it was a hotel given the location but I didn't ask further.
