Agree on that. Most of the time I wait a while before booking new ladies. Especially when they are young. Some ladies go away fast because it doesn't match.

Also the fact that the age difference is very big in public. Is a thing for me.
 
As long as you don't show real intimacy in public with other people around there is no issue. It can be your daugther or something. With 20-30 years it might be more an issue then the older ones.
I understand that you might want to take first steps in getting more physical soon and then a public environment would be less suitable (hold hand, arm around her or just a touch).

This makes me wonder: how common is any level of intimacy in public for escort dates?

What I am interested in here is anything ranging from the girl holding your hand or arm to kissing.

I am careful to never try to initiate any physical contact in public, however mild it is. If a girl initiates it, I don't mind. However, in my experience, this is extremely rare and has almost never happened during my dates.

For me, it's not necessarily about age difference (although age difference can be a part of discomfort).

Socially, a big age difference can make it more difficult to connect. But this is not always the case. Sometimes younger women are easy to talk to and connect with and older women can be difficult to connect with. It all depends.

In terms of how it looks to other people, I admit that I am self-conscious about what hotel staff and restaurant staff think (although this does not always stop me). As far as I can remember I had 5 dinner/lunch dates and with three of them there was more or less intimacy in public. Holding hands, arm around each other and kissing.
